who are experts in expelling these pests. But if you do not have the budget to seek help from professional people, there are a lot of things that you can do to expel these insects.

Here are the steps that you can follow:

1.    The first thing you need to do is to look for the furniture that is infested with termites. This is for you to be able to know where these termites came from and where is their breeding ground. Termites are like ants, they always go back to the place where they are staying so you will surely trace their breeding ground if you follow their track. Be careful with these termites because they also bite and their bite is much more painful than an ant’s bite. It may even swell if left without proper medication.

2.    After seeing the termites that are infesting your furniture, it is important that you first determine what kind of termite it is for you to be able to know what method to use. There are termites that are a lot strong than the rest and can survive even when splashed by water. There are also termites that can really cause damage to a person so you first need to determine what it is.

3.    After that, the next you do is to expose the infested furniture in the sunlight to 2 to 3 days. This is to make sure that they will be killed and the wooden furniture is termite free already. Termites live in the dark that is why they do not expose themselves during day time. They hate daylight and daylight could kill them so exposing the infested furniture in the sun will surely kill the termites that are in there.

4.    If you are in the place where exposing the furniture to sunlight is difficult, try the other way around. Freezing the termites will also guarantee that they will be killed. Put your furniture in a huge freezer and freeze the termites. It can be really difficult to put furniture in the freezer but you can make it, then you are guaranteed that the termites infesting the furniture will surely be killed.

5.    After taking care of the furniture, go back to where the termites are living and splash water in it. Cleaning the place and drying it will help remove the termites from inhabiting that place again. And to make sure that they do not go back, spray some termite killer or put some boric acid in the place to kill termite eggs that are still in there.
